Erlank & Associates, Inc. not only provides services for South African applicants, but is also specifically structured and designed to provide services for clients and correspondents outside South Africa who generally are already in possession of a patent specification for the invention, or representations of the design or trademark. A patent, design, or trademark application may or may not already have been filed in another country. Where the client or correspondent is not situated in close proximity to the patent/trademark agent, it is important that GLE and the client/correspondent are in a position readily and quickly to establish communication with each other.
At GLE emphasis is placed on the efficient use of professional staff and up-to-date IT technology (including video-conferencing facilities, etc.), rather than on high-cost physical facilities like conference and reception rooms and the staffing thereof. Overheads are thus reduced to enable GLE to offer efficient, highly skilled and professional services at minimum cost.
With GLE you do not have to sacrifice quality in return for economy; and foreign agents (correspondents) will find that they are more than compensated for the absence of reciprocal filings.
